二﹑詞義辨析和詞語搭配

這類考題旨在考核學生對近義詞的理解和對詞匯的運用。記憶單個詞匯不僅容易忘記,而且沒有實際的用途。如果把單詞放回句中或詞組中記憶,我們稱之為理解記憶,效果就會好很多,而且我們對學生詞匯的考核都是對其用法和拼寫的共同考核。其實,在某些題型中,對詞匯用法的考核更多,綜合填空就是一例。下面我們以題目為例:

第5、6和7題都為同義詞辨析。第5題選attempt,在這里的意思是嘗試。而第6題的難點在于辨析conceal和hide,hide一般指的是把某人或具體某事物隱藏起來或情感的不外露,而把抽象的東西像信息、秘密和這里的“皺紋”隱藏起來不被人知就用conceal。第7題選remain,是因為 remain表示“依然具有,沒有褪去”的意思。而第8題考的是詞語搭配,turn to意為求助于。
