2010年不知不覺又走到了年尾，最近物價飛漲，不少人不禁調侃幾句諸如“物價漲了咋不見工資漲”的抱怨話。如今年末已近，年終獎又是員工們關心的話題。那么，“年終獎”英語該怎么說呢？

Only 20 percent of employees expect their year-end bonus will be more generous than last year's, while the inflation mounted to 4.4 percent, according to a survey by Chinese-language newspaper National Business Daily.

從上句話中我們可以看到，“年終獎”的英語就是“year-end bonus”，“bonus”指的就是“額外津貼，獎金”的意思。除了這個常用意思，它還可以指“anything pleasant in addition to what is expected”，比如說：

The warm weather in winter has been a real bonus.（冬天有這樣暖和的天氣真是喜出望外。）
