??? 當(dāng)年The Lightning Seeds的名作《Cloudcuckooland》走紅之時(shí)，后來在英國樂壇爭得面紅耳赤的兩大搖滾巨星Oasis和Blur還都沒成立呢。《Cloudcuckooland》以及后來的《Sense》讓Brit Pop音樂流派的風(fēng)范已然初具雛形，只不過媒體還沒想出這個(gè)詞語來炒作罷了。當(dāng)然，Lightning Seeds出名是出名，可也不是全無缺憾，從89年的《Cloudcuckooland》到99年最后一張專輯《Tilt》，Lightning Seeds的風(fēng)格都沒有太大變化，這也是樂隊(duì)長期幾乎都是由Ian Broudie一人掌控的結(jié)果，因?yàn)镮an Broudie經(jīng)常忙著給別的樂隊(duì)當(dāng)制作人(這張名單里有既有80年代的后朋克名團(tuán)Echo & the Bunnymen和The Fall，也有90年代的英倫搖滾樂隊(duì)Sleeper，Republica，還有另類流行樂隊(duì)Human Drama兩千年后的專輯，甚至于目前走紅的The Coral。Lightning Seeds反倒像他有意無意要照顧流行排行榜的需求而做的一個(gè)討巧產(chǎn)品。
??? 對于多數(shù)生于80年代的歌迷來說，這只樂隊(duì)畢竟不像Suede，Verve這樣熟悉，但如果你想把Oasis或者Beatles的旋律感來結(jié)合80年代新浪潮編曲，用比早期Blur更乖巧更陽光的聲音唱出來，這就跟The Lightning Seeds八九不離十了。一句話說，這感覺就像加了弦樂編排的Pet Shop Boys和New Order聯(lián)合向六七十年代流行民謠致敬一樣。(摘自網(wǎng)絡(luò))
