?1.Final exam：期末考試

?例如：A grade depending on the results of the final exam.（分級由期終考試的結(jié)果而定。）

?常見詞組：

?Cross-examine （尤指在法庭上就對方提供的證詞進行）盤問，反詰
Physical examination 體檢

?2.For hours on end：連續(xù)幾個小時；一連幾個小時

?例如：She will talk for hours on end.（她總是滔滔不絕地一講就是幾小時。）

?3.On end：連續(xù)不斷

?例如：He would disappear for weeks on end.（他常常是連續(xù)幾周不見人影。）

Hurry up, or else you'll be late. 快點,否則你要遲到了。

凡是催人動作快點兒，否則要遲到了的情況下，可以使用此句。換言之：You must leave now, or else you'll be late.（你必須現(xiàn)在走，要不然會遲到的。）

1.Hurry up：快點兒

例如：Hurry up, or you will miss the train.（快點，不然你會趕不上火車。）

2.Or else：要不然；否則

例如：Stop smoking now, or else your health will be ruined.（別再抽煙了，否則你會毀了自己的健康。）

1.Take a chance：冒險

1.Flare up：動肝火；勃然大怒
