draft, outline, diagram, sketch, blueprint

這些名詞都含“草圖”之意。

draft : 用作動詞時指按準(zhǔn)確比例設(shè)計或打樣；作名詞時專指精確的草圖或草案。

They agreed on a draft resolution.（他們商定一項決議草案。）

outline : 主要給出事物要點或輪廓，強(qiáng)調(diào)簡化了的整體。

Make an outline before trying to write a composition.（寫作文之前先寫個提綱。）

diagram : 側(cè)重指用圖形、圖表等來說明。

The engineer drew a diagram of the bridge.（工程師繪制了一幅這座橋的示意圖。）

sketch : 指用圖、模型或語言描述來表示某一事物的整體情況

I will send you a slight sketch of the house.（我將給你寄去房屋的草圖。）

blueprint : 主要指繪制藍(lán)圖或制定綱領(lǐng)或規(guī)劃。這個詞引申用來指詳細(xì)而具體的行動計劃。

All the machine parts on a blueprint must answer each other.（設(shè)計圖上所有的機(jī)器部件都應(yīng)互相配合。）
